Ohenemaa Nana Yeboaa Pene II, Queen mother of Chiraa in the Bono region has donated food and non-alcoholic beverages to two(2) Orphanages in the Sunyani Municipality to mark her 50th birthday anniversary which falls on the 22nd of November.
The items worth thousands include,bags of rice, cooking oil,bags of sugar, cartons of milk and Milo, Biscuits,assorted drinks,cooked rich in take away, cartons of cookies,soaps, toilet rolls among others.
The beneficiary orphanage homes including, Compassion is Love in Action at Yawhima and Hanukkah Children’s Home at Baakoniaba.
At each of the Orphanages she visited, Nana Yeboaa Pene II sliced her birthday cake with the children, after which he shared the cake and drinks to them.
The children sung happy birthday for Nana Yeboaa Pene who was beaming with smiles.
Presenting the items, Nana Yeboaa Pene II, told Sunyani-based Metro 90.5FM that, the donation was in line with her 50th birthday anniversary.
“I chose to celebrate my birthday with the less privilege in society instead of having a private party in the comfort of my home” she said.
“God blessed us to bless others,so am here to show love to these lovely children, I ate with them,same food (Jollof rice) and they were happy”.
Proverbs 19:17: says “The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovah, and He will repay him for what he does”, this shows that God considers himself to be indebted to those who help the needy, and he promises to repay such generosity. Nana stated.
She therefore called on individuals, organizations to show love to needy people especially children’s homes.
The Administrators at the two Orphanages expressed gratitude to the Nana Pene for fulfilling her commitments on her birthdays.
They praised her for the generosity shown towards them over the years.
