Omanhene of Dormaa commends Akuffo Addo for fulfilling promises

Osagyefo Oseadeyo Agyeman Badu II, the Omanhene of Dormaa Traditional Council has praised President Akuffo Addo for honouring a promise to construct a 20 kilometre asphalt overlay within Dormaa Ahenkro.

He said the President assured him during a short meeting in Accra few weeks back that Dormaa Ahenkro will soon have an asphalt after he (chief) had appealed to the President to come to his aid in that regard.

Osagyefo expressed delight on President Akuffo Addo that, the roads have so far been tarred with asphalt and now more motorable which have brought great relief to residents.

Nana made this known when the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Bono Region led by Kwame Baffo Abronye D.C, paid a courtesy call on him at his palace in Dormaa Ahenkro.

The courtesy call formed part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the enstoolment of Osagyefo Agyeman Badu and celebration of Kwafie festival respectively.

Receiving the delegation at the Palace, Osagyefo used the occasion to commend Chairman Kwame Baffo and his N.P.P government continued support to the Dormaa stool lands and Ghana with prudent economic management.

On behalf of the Party in the region, Chairman Abronye thanked the chief for the warm reception accorded them, adding that: “As a party and a government, we appreciate the role that our cultural heritage plays in the sustainability of our society. Our sense of being and identity is dependent on how rich our culture is, and how well it is celebrated”.

He was joined by the Minister of Health and M.P for Dormaa Central, Hon Kwaku Agyeman Manu, Council of Elders Chairman in the region Mr, G. K Awuah, Mr Kofi Ofosu Boateng the party’s regional secretary, the Consistuency Chairman for Dormaa Central, Mr Mumuni and other stalwarts of the party in the region.

The visit afforded the party an opportunity to introduce the party’s regional executives and also congratulate the Dormaahene for his sterling leadership over the past two decades in promoting peace and development across the country and donated an undisclosed amount of money and others items for the celebration.
