Lawyer Tuah-Yeboah officially picks form to contest Sunyani East NPP parliamentary primaries

The Bono and Ahafo regional Chairman of the Ghana Bar Association(GBA), Lawyer Alfred Tuah Yeboah, has officially picked nomination forms to contest on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries for Sunyani East Constituency of the Bono Region.

Lawyer Alfred Tuah Yeboah picked his forms on Tuesday, 28th Jan. 2020 at the party office in Sunyani and was accompanied by some party supporters in the constituency.

According to Renowned Sunyani-based private legal practitioner, he is hopeful of unseating the the current Member of Parliament(MP) for Sunyani East, Hon. Kwasi Ameyaw Cheremeh, in the party’s primaries slated for April 25, 2020.

Lawyer Tuah Yeboah is one of the vibrant young lawyers of the party in the region and has always sought interpretation from the Supreme Court in matters relating to the party.

Speaking to News men,Lawyer Tuah Yeboah said he was compelled by the call on him by the constituents to lead them in Parliament and to turn around the fortunes of the constituency.

“I have served the New Patriotic Party well and it’s time to represent the people of Sunyani East in Parliament.’’ he stated.

Lawyer Tuah Yeboah has the backing of many young people in the party.

Having served the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) in different roles including Assistant Secretary, Lawyer Tuah-Yeboah is regarded as one of the strong pillars of the ruling party in the region.

Recently, he filed a suit in the Supreme Court to take a look at the remission of the sentences of the Montie trio.

Currently, he heads Asempa Chambers at Sunyani.

Lawyer Tuah-Yeboah, who is native of New Drobo in the Jaman South Municipality, is a strong voice on radio in the Bono, Ahafo and Bono East regions when it comes to legal and constitutional matters.

He holds MSc Defence and International politics from the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College.

The Sunyani East seat is currently being held by Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, the Majority Chief Whip who is yet to declare his intention.
