Bofoakwa Tano to set up hand-washing facilities at Sunyani Coronation park amid coronavirus fears

The Management of Bofoakwa Tano Football Club in the quest to provide a safety and healthy environment for spectators have institutionalized a mandatory application of Alcohol based Hand Sanitizers and setting up of hand washing points during home matches.

The regular washing of hands using an alcohol-based sanitizer or soap is one of the key steps recommended by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Ghana has confirmed two cases of the deadly coronavirus, the Health Minister Kwaku Agyemang Manu has disclosed.

The cases were confirmed on March 12, 2020. The Noguchi memorial institute has confirmed the cases.

The two individuals came into the country from Norway and Turkey. They have been quarantined, the health minister said.

In a statement issued by the Club Management,stated “We believe these safeguard methods would help provide a safe environment at Coronation park during our home matches as we await further directives from the Ghana Football Association”.

Being the first Football club in Ghana to implement such safety policy , we would humbly admonish other clubs to emulate same and ensure the safety of football fans.
