90-year-old woman in Naples makes 700 masks per night by hand for healthcare workers

The coronavirus pandemic is showing no signs of slowing down.

It has resulted in a severe shortage of medical equipment – especially masks – across the world.Antoinetta, 90, has been doing her bit to help the frontline medical workers.

Since COVID-19 broke out, healthcare workers across the world are fighting hard to save people from the deadly virus. There have also been some good samaritans who have not stopped from doing their bit to help the medical warriors.

A post shared by Italian Football TV on Instagram has shed light on how Antoinetta, 90, is tirelessly working to make 700 masks by hand per night for medical professionals.

The Naples-based grandmother has already made over 10,000 masks and is still going strong, continuing her good work every night.

As the number of cases continues to increase, supplies have been affected severely. Masks, in particular, have a huge demand and stocks are running low across the world.

Recently, we also reported how a 99-year-old war veteran in the UK had raised over £28million to support the NHS workers.

These stories do indeed bring about some cheer and inspire the rest of us to help those in need around us.
