Award winning fashion designer Kenzy of Kenzy design and fashion institute on Friday,24th April,2020 presented 50 re-usable nose masks to management of Bono and Ahafo Television (BATV) to protect themselves,as they report on the COVID-19.
Already,the Sunyani-based top fashion designer,has distributed some to Bono Regional Health Directorate,regional police command,radio stations,among others in Sunyani.
In an interview with BATV, after the presentation,the management of Kenzy design and fashion institute,led by designer Kenzy,said “Journalists played frontal role in the fight against the spread of the COVID-19, and they also required Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs),that’s why our outfit distributed these K-nose masks to them(Journalists).
“We will soon supply other relevant state institutions in the region with the items to stem the spread of the disease” he stated.
Kenzy called on Bono residents to adhere the precautionary measures in combating the spread of the Coronavirus put out by the government as well as washing their hands regularly with soap under running water and urged patrons to wear the nose masks for the necessary protection.
Nana Kofi Yeboah Seth, better known as King Setho,Human Resources/Events Manager for BATV who received the items on behalf of Management,thanked Kenzy design and fashion institute for the donation to help fight Coronavirus in the region,added “This kind gesture will not be forgotten”.
So far Bono,Bono East and Ahafo region has not recorded any confirmed case of COVID-19 infection.
Ghana’s COVID-19 case count has risen to 1,279 from the 1,154 announced last Tuesday.
One more COVID-19 patient has died in Ghana bringing the death toll to 10.
