COVID-18:Chinese Embassy donates items to the Vulnerable


The Chinese Embassy in Ghana on Tuesday, 28th April, 2020 donated some items to the vulnerable through the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection.

The items donated includes: 70 Boxes (2, 250 bars) of Avril Soap, 60 Boxes (6, 800 pieces) of Softcare Baby Diaper, 20 Boxes(1, 200 rolls)of KleeSoft T-Roll, 20 Boxes (16, 000 pieces) of SoftCare Baby Wipes, 30 Boxes (1, 200) bottles of Hand Sanitizer and 3,000 pieces of Face mask.

The Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, SHI TIN WANG who made the donation on behalf of the Embassy said the donation is to help support the deprived and vulnerable children.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection for her meticulous care and support to vulnerable children in Ghana.

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Hon. Cynthia Mamle Morrison on behalf of the Ministry thanked the Chinese Embassy for their support towards vulnerable children in Ghana and added that the items will be distributed to the various orphanage homes under the Ministry.

Present were the Chief Director for MoGCSP, Dr. Afisah Zakariah, Social Protection Director, Dr. Rita Owusu-Amankwah, Director for Policy, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Unit, Mr. Mawutor Ablo, Ag. Director for the Department of Social Welfare, Mr. Daniel Nona and the UNICEF Representative in Ghana, Anne-Claire Dufay
