Soldiers whip Takoradi residents for not wearing nose mask

Empire FM has obtained footage of men dressed in military uniform whipping a resident in public for not wearing a nose mask.

Regional correspondent Emmanuel Ohene Gyan first reported on the incident on Monday.

The city authorities denied the report.

An earlier report of the beatings was denied by the PRO of the Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly John Laste.

“So far I haven’t seen anything like that. There are some who say they have video evidence but when you ask them to provide them so we investigate, they don’t,” he told Morning Starr.
