The owner of Metro 90.5Fm, Bishop Columbus Appiah, leader of Miraculous Jesus Evangelistic Ministry International has agreed to changed hands.
According to Pulsenewsgh.com source, the station has been on ‘underground’ sale for some months now, where only some industry persons and some people involved in radio business were aware.
The station formerly known as Metro 90.5FM was traded as Ahomka 90.5FM, when Dr. Victor Kwadwo Ademang, CEO of Ahomka Beverages, producers of Bie Gya Bitters acquired maximum shares but Bishop Columbus Appiah later changed the name into Metro FM after the contract between him and Dr. Victor Kwadwo Ademang expired.
The station, which is currently operating from Silver House [Top floor] in Sunyani, the capital of Bono Region-Ghana is among the top 5 radio stations in the region.
Metro 90.5FM named Best Radio Morning Show’ [Akan] in Bono,Ahafo and Bono East region at the maiden 2018 regional Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) Awards.
The station will commence test transmission before they start full operations somewhere in October 2020, we’ve gathered.
