The National Organiserof the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Mr. Sammi Awuku has urged members of the Party to be resolute and push forward for the party’s victory in the upcoming general elections.
He observed that maintaining power in 2020 elections relies on the selflessness and vigilance of polling station executives and the youth during the ongoing Electoral Commission’s nationwide registration exercise as well as the December polls.
Sammy Awuku made this known at Berekum East Constituency when he joined some executives of the party in the region to monitor the exercise as part of his nationwide visit to the registration centers.
The areas he visited were Jaman North, Jaman South, Berekum West, Dormaa Central, Dormaa East Constituencies and interacted with the people of Jaman South via Jaman Radio.
Accompanying him were the chairman for the region Kwame Baffoe Abronye, Perpetual Lomokie Akwada, deputy national youth organizer, Kofi Ofosu Boateng Bono Regional Secretary, Samuel Daatus Donkor Organizer UK branch, Shirley Women’s Organizer UK among others.
At the polling centres, he interacted with electoral officers, prospective voters and commended the officers for their patience and sense of duty whilst encouraging them to continue to give off their best throughout the period.
Sammy Awuku appealed to the public to report all complaints to registration officers for immediate resolve and desist from taking the law into their own hands.
The exercise, which is to compile new voters register ahead of the 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections in December, is being carried out under strict COVID-19 safety protocols across all centres in the region.
