The National Democratic Party (NDP) will, tomorrow (September 4) acclaim former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, as Flagbearer for the 2020 elections.
This will be the second time Mrs Rawlings is running as Presidential candidate for the Party.
A statement signed by the Party’s General Secretary, Alhaji Mohammed Frimpong, said the former First Lady was chosen out of three aspirants.
It says former President and founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Jerry John Rawlings will be the guest of honour.
The NDP was founded in October 2012 by Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, wife of former President Jerry John Rawlings.
Nana Konadu was formerly a high ranking member of the NDC before breaking away to form the NDP.
In 2012, the EC disqualified her and 11 other Presidential Candidates for failing to meet requirements before the September 30 deadline to file nomination her documents.
