Former Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Lawyer Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh has donated 24 motorbikes to the leadership of NPP in the Ahafo region.
Each of the six constituency offices of the party in Ahafo region received four motorbikes.
The move is to complement the party’s campaign ahead of the December 7 elections.
Lawyer Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh,presenting the motorbikes at a brief ceremony held at the party’s office in all the constituencies he visited, called on members of the party to unite and win the 2020 elections.
“This year elections not going to be easy, so we needed a formidable force to win once again and also win all the parliamentary seats in Ahafo region” he said.
“The NPP party gave birth to the current government in which am serving and your support pushed me to where I am serving now. So it very important to give back to the NPP party”.
According to former New Patriotic Party (NPP) Chairman for Brong Ahafo region,who is currently Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, Lawyer Kwaku Asomah- Cheremeh said he purchased the motorbikes from his own resources and with the support of some friends.
“Winning all the seats in Ahafo region is important for the government(NPP) because we need over 198 seats in parliament after 2020 elections”.
“The contest is between us and our major opponent, the NDC, and not an internal fight among us as NPP members.It is the interest of the NPP that should be placed first above all other things, and not the individual interest of any party member.
“Use the motorbikes to mobilise and organise the grassroots in order to ensure the NPPs victory come the December polls”.
This comes as one of the many interventions, the former chairman is undertaking to strengthen the party and ensure it wins the December elections massively in the region.
The Minister already donated a brand new Nissan Pick up Vehicle to the Bono Regional NPP Youth Organizer,gave 12 consiteuncy in Bono Region 48 motorbikes among others.
He cautioned delegates, polling station and constituency executives to be mindful of the language they use in their campaigns.
Mr. Kwabena Owusu Sekyere, the Ahafo Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), thanked the Minister and described the gesture as unexpected and hoped that it will support the party to achieve greater height.
