The Inspector-General of Police, James Oppong Boanuh has offered a reward of GHC20,000 to any person who gives credible information leading to the arrest of the murderers of the Member of Parliament for Mfantseman.
Hon. Ekow Quansah was shot dead by unidentified gunmen while returning from a campaign at Nkusukum on the Mankessim-Abeadze Duadze road on Friday 9th October 2020 around 1:00am dawn.
A statement signed by the Director of Public Affairs, Police Service, Sheila Abayie Buckman said the IGP has dispatched specialized investigators from the Homicide and Anti-armed robbery units of the CID Headquarters to support the Central Region’s Crime Scene Team to solve the alleged robbery incident and murder of the MP.
Meanwhile, the body of the MP has been deposited at the Saltpond Hospital Mortuary for preservation.
