By the end of the year, President Akufo-Addo has stated that the country will receive an additional 8,529,090 doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

President Akufo-Addo told Ghanaians in his 27th Covid-19 update that the Ghana Health Service (GHS) has already received 17,736,710 vaccines.

By the end of the year, the total number of vaccine doses provided to the country would have surpassed 26 million.

It also suggests that the country would have enough vaccines to develop herd immunity against Covid-19 for its target population of 20 million people.

“We have a sufficient supply of vaccines in the system.” So, my fellow Ghanaians, I urge you to take advantage of this opportunity and be vaccinated,” he urged.
