Arteta Warned Not To Start Thomas Partey Against Liverpool

Kelvin Campbell has pleaded with manager Mikel Arteta not to use Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey in the Premier League match against Liverpool.

The Gunners haven’t lost in all competitions since August, and they’ll meet Jurgen Klopp’s team at Anfield on Saturday.

The Ghanaian international missed the Black Stars’ 2022 World Cup qualifiers due to injury, but has been cleared to play for Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta should not push the Ghana international back into his starting XI so soon after his injury, according to Campbell, and should err on the side of caution before putting him in the first XI.

“Don’t make fun of him. Keep him on the bench so that we can bring him on later in the game.

“I don’t want to put him in danger.” I understand it’s a huge game. He hasn’t been manipulated. There are a lot of games coming ahead, and we don’t want to take any chances.”

Thomas Partey has been crucial for Arsenal this season, and his return will be a huge boost for the team ahead of their match against Liverpool.

Arsenal would hope to have the Ghana midfielder fit for the encounter because Granit Xhaka is out with an injury.
