BBNaija: Where are all the past winners?

Big Brother Naija is Nigeria’s most popular entertainment show, with millions of fans and viewers tuning in every day.

The Shine Ya Eye edition of Big Brother Naija has returned this year.
Stars are expected to shine brightly in this edition, with the winner taking home N90 million.

There are still many weeks left in this season of Big Brother Naija, but as we continue to watch how things unfold, we thought we’d look back at the previous winners of this fantastic show.

In this article, we look back at all of the previous winners and where they are now.

Katung Aduwak (First BB Naija, 2006)

Katung Aduwak won the first season of the reality TV show, which featured Gideon Okeke and Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as housemates.

Aduwak decided to further his education in filmmaking and production after winning the first season of Big Brother Nigeria.

He returned to Nigeria to begin work on music videos and television series.

He was in an accident a few years ago that nearly killed him, but he survived and returned to work after the treatment.

He is one of Nigeria’s most prolific directors, having worked on several series and TV shows on Africa Magic.

Efe Ejaba (Season 2, See Gobbe, 2017 )

This time, the show was held in South Africa, with the theme ‘See Gobbe.’ Bisola, Kemen, TBoss, and Efe were among the housemates who went on to win the season.

Efe won over Nigerians by identifying with the famous city of Warri despite living in Jos and telling stories about his humble beginnings.

He won the season and received N25 million in cash as a prize.

Following the show, Efe decided to pursue a career in entertainment, specifically music. Since then, he has collaborated with a number of top musicians, including Olamide, Iceprince, and BOJ.

Efe is still a newcomer to the music scene and has yet to break even.

Miracle (Double Wahala, 2018)

Following the success of the second edition, the third edition was also held in South Africa with the theme, Double Wahala.

Cee C, Tobi, Alex, and Miracle were the winners of the edition. He took N45 million home with him.

After winning the edition, which has gone down in history as one of the most dramatic seasons, Miracle returned to Nigeria to complete all of the agreements he made with the owners of the BB Naija franchise in Nigeria before leaving the country.

Miracle previously stated to fans and viewers that he hopes to win the prize money so that he can receive training to become a professional and commercial pilot.

The BBNaija season 3 winner returned to school for a year to pursue a career as a professional and commercial pilot.

He now works as a pilot.

Mercy Eke (Pepper Dem season, 2019)

Mercy won the fourth season of BB Naija, but her time in the house is best remembered for her infamous spat with fellow housemate Tacha.

She took home the N30m cash prize as the winner.

Since then, the Imo State native has expanded her business portfolio by dabbling in fashion and entertainment.

Laycon (Lockdown season 2020)

Before entering the Big Brother house in 2020, Laycon was an artist working on his breakthrough.

Getting on the TV show changed his career path because he quickly became one of the most popular housemates.

He won that edition convincingly and took home N80m in prize money.

He has since flourished as a musician and celebrity.
