The Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), a collective society representing owners of music rights, has announced that board members will be elected on Tuesday, December 7.
The Electoral Commission (EC) will oversee the elections, which will be held countrywide to make it relatively straightforward for all members to vote for their favourite nominees.
Teachers Hall (Accra), Centre for National Culture (Kumasi), Centre for National Culture (Sunyani), Melody Hotel (Takoradi), Asongetaaba Hotel (Bolgatanga), Royal Lodge Hotel (Wa), Centre for National Culture (Cape Coast), Centre for National Culture (Volta), Centre for National Culture (Tamale), Y Good Morning Hotel (Tamale), Centre for National Culture (Volta), Centre for National Culture (Tamale) (Oti).
GHAMRO members are scheduled to vote at several voting centres to pick new board members for the music rights organization.
Music publishers, producers, and composers make up the 15 candidates for GHAMRO’s board of directors and directors.
K.K. Kabobo, Rex Owusu Marfo, Kwame Adinkra, Oheneba Kisi, Diana Hopeson, and Kofi Abraham are the names on the list.
Ernest Kwasi Ennin, Francis Boahene, Francis Omari Adofo, Benjamin Mensah, and Ruth Benny Wood are among the other nominees.
John Mensah Sarpong, George Ofori Atta, Elizabeth Tagoe, and Yaw Agyemang Badu are the others.
GHAMRO stated that all required preparations for a successful election had been completed.
