Menstruation can be very painful in some ladies. Sometimes the pain is natural but sometimes it is due to the things we do or eat. There are certain things you should not eat when you are on your period as this can cause pains, cramps and discomfort. Below are foods you should not eat when on your period.
ALCOHOL
This is one thing you should avoid when you are on your period. During this time your body looses blood and this makes you vulnerable to alcohol side effects. Alcohol can also make the bloating worse and also make the cramps worse and cause alot of pains.
SPICY FOODS
Spicy foods makes one bloated when you are already bleeding and already having intense cramps. For most people, spicy foods makes them uncomfortable and disturbs their stomach. If you are one of those people who spicy foods disturbs then it is best you avoid them when you are on your period.
SUGARY FOODS
This is another thing you should completely avoid when you are on your period. Sugary foods like drinks, candies and snacks should be completely avoided when you are seeing your period. Taking foods that have too much sugar content will make the cramps worse and also make the bloating worse.
