Shatta Wale and Medikal, two Ghanaian musicians, have been granted bail by an Accra Circuit Court.

The two musicians, who were both detained on different offences and jailed for a week and five days, have each been given GHC 100,000 bail with a guarantee.

Shatta Wale and his three accomplices, according to reports, do not represent a flight risk and will not flee the nation if granted bail.

They are scheduled to appear in court again on November 9, 2021.

After faking a shooting attack, Shatta Wale and his three accomplices, Kojo Owusu Koranteng, Idris Yusif, and Eric Venator, were arrested on October 19, 2021.

The Shatta Movement’s leader was charged with spreading false information and inciting fear and terror, while his associates were charged with aiding and abetting criminality.

After a video of him fluanting a gun went viral, rapper Medikal was detained.

On October 22, 2021, he was charged before an Accra Circuit Court and remanded for five days.

Medikal is accused of displaying weapons and ammo.
