On Thursday, December 9, 2021, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo got the Forbes “African of the Year Award” from Forbes Magazine.

The prize was given in honor of his “effort to provide kids with free, high-quality education.”

President Akufo-Addo was chosen African of the Year by Forbes Africa magazine.

“Ghana’s President has redefined the country in the global economy as one relying on its own resources and strengths,” the magazine noted earlier.

President Akufo-Addo expressed his gratitude to Forbes Magazine for “recognizing the work that we are doing here in Ghana” in response to the award.

President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Akin Adesina, President of the African Development Bank Group, and Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, have all received this honor in the past.
