Toilet infections can be really uncomfortable because it comes with symptoms like itching, irritation and pain in the private areas.
However, there are some things we do that can lead to a high risk of getting toilet infection. Below are some ways to prevent toilet infections
1. ALWAYS USE NEAT TOILETS
It is advisable to always ease yourself in a toilet that is neat. Always clean your toilets at home as this helps to prevent bacteria from multiplying in the toilet which can lead to infections. If you must use public toilets to ease yourself, be mindful of the one you use and avoid close contact with the toilet seats.

2. STOP VAGINAL DOUCHING
Stop the use of medicated soaps, salt and other substances to clean the vagina. If you use these things to clean the vagina, it takes away some good bacteria that helps to protect the vagina and this can lead to a high risk of toilet infection. While bathing, only use water to wash the vagina.
3. CHANGE YOUR UNDERWEARS REGULARLY
Always change your underwears twice as this helps to prevent bacteria from multiplying. When changing your underwears, always ensure you change it with a neat and dry one.

4. DO NOT SHARE UNDERWEARS
Underwears are personal properties and should not be shared. You do not know other people’s health and hygiene so, it is better to protect yourself and not share underwear with anybody.
