On Tuesday, a team of officials from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECGTema )’s Regional Office and the Krobo Region began a meter reading exercise in the Krobo district of the Eastern Region.

The exercise was conducted in various communities of the Kpong suburbs of Lorlornyo, Kpong station, Kpong Zongo, and Star Villa, among others, with the personnel divided into five teams and led by the Company’s Krobo Dstrict Manager, Ing. Edward Ochire.

Aside from reading the meters, the team conducted a pre-installation survey ahead of the pre-paid metering system’s installation, as well as checking for illegal connections.

The operation, which will take place over the following three months, will aid the Company in generating monthly invoices for its customers in the area.

Officials from the National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE) and police officers from the Akuse police command also took part in the exercise, providing security for the ECG workers.
