Lagos State To Experience Temporary Blackout.The management of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) has announced the possibility of an impending power outage in the state.
EKEDC on Wednesday 20th October, disclosed that there will be a six-hour planned outage in certain areas in Badagry, Lagos State.This was disclosed in a statement released by the General Manager, Corporate Communications, EKEDC, Mr Godwin Idemudia.
He said that, the outage will last for six hours from 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021.Mr Idemudia who described the outage as a temporary one said the outage is a to allow the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to effect maintenance of their equipment at Agbara, Lagos.
According to him, the outage will affect areas like Agbara Estate, Edu, Badagry, Mowo, Agemowo, Oke-Ira, Odan, Morogbo, Ijanikin, Era, Adaloko and environs.
He however pleaded with residents in the area to bear with the electricity company.“We are, therefore, appealing to customers to bear with us, as supply will be restored as soon as these repairs are concluded”.
