On Monday night, Messi won a record seventh title, surpassing Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski by 33 points.

Many people in the football world have slammed the decision, claiming that Lewandowski deserved it more considering his prolific scoring form over the last two seasons.

Messi’s father, Jorge, has now spoken up, posting a photo of his son with the words “Bla bla bla… continue.”

This year, Messi won his first international championship with Argentina, the Copa America, as well as the Copa del Rey with Barcelona.

It would turn out to be his final trophy in the Nou Camp. Barcelona was unable to afford to extend Messi’s contract, so he said his final goodbyes before joining PSG in France.

Messi paid respect to Lewandowski, who won the title for striker of the year, in his acceptance speech on Monday, saying that he earned it.
