Ruweida Yakubu, the wife of former Black Stars star Nii Odartey Lamptey, has claimed that she is to blame for her husband’s divorce from Gloria Odartey Lamptey.

Ruweida Yakubu, speaking to TV3’s Bela Mundi about how she deals with issues surrounding her husband’s’messy’ divorce, said it was hard for her to be in the middle of the drama, but she did her best to carry out her legal responsibilities as a wife to her husband.

“I am a human being,” she says. I had sentiments, and when the divorce saga began, I was sad for him as well. “I attempted to encourage him by asking him to be patient, supporting him, and praying for him to get through his difficulties,” she stated.

Yakubu, who is now into tennis, recalled how some individuals viciously assaulted her on social media and how she attempted to take all of the negative comments in stride and move on.

She confessed that she and her spouse have done as much as possible throughout the years to take things carefully as they unfold.

“The last time something came up and people were posting terrible comments on social media, saying my husband is too soft, isn’t macho enough, and urging him to go attack his ex and other harsh remarks, I thought it was too much for him and the kids.”

“I’ve had individuals verbally abuse me, and I recall one time in a market when a woman recognized me and began shouting insults at me, claiming that I was the reason of the mess, but I didn’t say anything.” But we’re dealing with it on a basic level as a family,” she said.

Following the collapse of his marriage with Gloria Appiah, Nii Odartey Lamptey married Ruweida Yakubu.
