At the 9th edition of the fashion and music exhibition, Rhythms On Da Runway, branded ‘The Masquerade,’ held at the Accra International Conference Centre, highlife musician Pat Thomas was awarded the highest honor (AICC).

The special Black Star Honour is meant to reward excellence and significant contributions to the promotion of show business in Ghana and Africa, according to the organizers, Nineteen57 Events.

Pat Thomas’ lifelong commitment to the local creative arts business and his “indelible legacy” in promoting Ghanaian music abroad, according to Samuel Atta-Mensah, Managing Director of Citi FM, who handed the plaque.

The 75-year-old performer and songwriter, who has been engaged in the highlife scene since the 1960s, thanked the organizers for the honor and his fans for their unwavering support.
