As severe winds continue to hit Greater Manchester this week, Paul Pogba’s £300,000 Rolls Royce was nearly crushed by a fallen tree on Wednesday night.
Maria Zulay Salaries, the Manchester United midfielder’s wife, shared a photo of the couple’s car on Thursday morning, resting in the driveway of their £2.9 million Cheshire property — inches from a fallen tree.
‘This happened last night,’ the Bolivian model, 27, captioned the Instagram story post, which revealed Pogba’s Wraith Black Badge motor was just yards from being damaged by the storm.
This week has seen strong winds sweep across Greater Manchester, with a tiny tornado wreaking havoc in the area earlier this week.
Residents in Cheshire have been tweeting photos and videos of downed trees, damaged fences, and debris in the street for the past week, with gusts reaching 40 to 50 miles per hour, according to a Met Office forecaster.
Pogba, who makes £290,000 per week at Manchester United, was a key player in the Red Devils’ 3-2 Champions League victory over Atalanta on Wednesday.
Between June 2020 and March 2021, the Manchester United player left his £300,000 Rolls Royce in a police car pound for nine months.
In June, police stopped the 28-year-old near Manchester Airport because his car only had Monaco license plates. The expensive vehicle was towed away, leaving Pogba with a £150 bill.
