Rick Ross, an American rapper, has stated that he is willing to spend $3.5 million (Sh8.1 billion) in Tanzanian real estate.
Ross, whose real name is William Leonard Roberts II, is a musician with a net worth of $40 million. He is also an entrepreneur.
His primary business activity is the ownership of many Wingstop restaurants across the United States.
The Maybach Music Group CEO revealed in a zoom video conferencing conversation with broadcaster Omary Tambwe aka Lil Ommy.
Lil Ommy recommended three prospective investment destinations in Tanzania: the commercial metropolis Dar es Salaam, Arusha, and Zanzibar.
Ross responded to the recommendations by saying, “I love being around water, but I also want to be with people, so if I invest $3.5 million, I’ll have something incredible.”
Apart from real estate, the 45-year-old musician has stated that he will travel to Mount Kilimanjaro and spend a week there.
“I have always heard of the Serengeti and Kilimanjaro, but as an artiste, entrepreneur, and boss, it can take up to ten years to get your feet planned to enjoy the ground,” he said. “I am at the point where I have time and can afford to go to Kilimanjaro to enjoy being there for a week,” he said.
