Former Tottenham defender Graham Roberts has told This Is Futbol that he would like to see Joe Rodon join a club like Leeds United or Burnley on loan.
Tottenham signed the 24-year-old from Swansea City last October, but he has barely played since making that move from Wales to England and he is down the pecking order behind Eric Dier, Cristian Romero and Davinson Sanchez
Last season, Rodon made just 12 appearances in the Premier League, while he is yet to make a single league start this term.
Roberts believes a loan move would be good for him, with the Spurs legend naming Leeds and Burnley as ideal destinations.
“Leeds United, yes, maybe Burnley or somebody like that, who are powerful,” Roberts said to TIF. “I think it will make him grow up and make him become a better player.”
Leeds have been without defender Robin Koch since the opening day of the season and Patrick Bamford picked up his ankle injury in mid-September on the same night that Luke Aylingdamaged his knee.
Koch and Ayling have both had surgery, but Bielsa revealed last week that the right-back is progressive ‘positively’ towards a return along with Bamford.
The deal will be a win-win situation for the two clubs and the player.
