Mohamed Salah has revealed on Twitter that the shirt he wore in Liverpool’s 5-0 annihilation of Manchester United would be auctioned off to benefit an animal charity in Egypt.

Jurgen Klopp’s side ripped apart a Manchester United squad captained by a despondent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on an incredible afternoon at Old Trafford in October.

Salah was in superb form, scoring three goals between the 38th and 50th minutes.

Liverpool had already grabbed a two-goal lead thanks to goals from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota before the 29-year-old entered the fray.

The Egyptian took to Twitter to announce that his Liverpool away shirt from the historic encounter would be auctioned off.

‘I will donate the shirt I wore in the match against Manchester United on October 24, 2021, for sale, with all proceeds going to an animal charity in Egypt.’ I’ll tell you where to bid and how to do it.’

Salah has made a beautiful gesture, and he will keep the matchball as a memento of a fantastic afternoon for him and Liverpool.
