This cancer is common among women and is very dangerous. It is mostly referred to as the silent killer because you do not experience any symptom until it has reached a very advanced stage. There are some common signs of cervical cancer we should look out for.
ABNORMAL VAGINAL BLEEDING
This is the very first sign of cervical cancer. When the cancer cells have developed and spread throughout the woman’s uterus, she may begin to experience very abnormal bleeding from the vagina. When you notice any blood coming out of your vagina and you are sure it is not menses, you should see a doctor immediately as this may be a sign of cancer.
BLEEDING AFTER INTERCOURSE
This is another sign of cervical cancer. If you experience bleeding after intercourse, it is a sign of cancer. Also, if you experience pain in the course of intercourse, it is also a sign of cervical cancer. This bleeding and pain is as a result of the cancer cells which has spread to the vagina.
ABNORMAL VAGINAL DISCHARGE
If you notice unusual discharge from your vagina that is pink or red in colour and has a foul smell, it may be a sign of cervical cancer. Once you notice thus kind of discharge, you should see your doctor.
Women experience pain at their lower back due to so many other factors but pain in the pelvic is also a sign of cervical cancer. This indicates that the cancer is at its advanced stage and has spread to other parts of the body.
